Mission: Books & Bites Mobile is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting childhood literacy and educational equity by combining nutritious meals with free access to books and learning tools. Our mission is to nourish both the body and the mind by offering delicious, themed meals through a mobile food truck while giving away children’s books and educational materials with every order.

We operate with the belief that every child deserves access to books, no matter their zip code or family income. We also understand that food insecurity and educational disparities often go hand-in-hand. By meeting families where they are—in neighborhoods, parks, schools, and community events—we remove barriers to both healthy food and literacy resources.

Our truck features a rotating menu of fun, education-themed food items, encouraging kids to associate learning with joy. We collect gently used books from community donors and distribute them directly to children during service.

We do this because we know that early access to books is one of the strongest predictors of academic success. Through Books & Bites, we’re not just filling stomachs—we’re helping build futures, one meal and one story at a time.
