Who we are
Bites and Books is a nonprofit on wheels, delivering free meals and children’s books to underserved communities. We believe every child deserves access to both nutrition and knowledge—no matter their zip code.

By meeting families where they are—in neighborhoods, parks, schools, and community events—we remove barriers to both healthy food and literacy resources.
Our truck features a rotating menu of fun, education-themed food items, encouraging kids to associate learning with joy. We collect gently used books from community donors and distribute them directly to children during service. We do this because we know that early access to books is one of the strongest predictors of academic success. Through Bites & Books, we’re not just filling stomachs—we’re helping build futures, one meal and one story at a time.

These kits include notebooks, pencils, crayons, and activities to help kids practice reading, writing, and creativity at home.
